Share the Jet rules

  • Only empty legs with a published price can be shared; the seat price is that price divided by the seats.
  • A shared flight can be started until 78 hours before departure.
  • Seats close 24 hours before departure. If the jet is not full by then, the shared flight ends, every hold is released and nobody pays.
  • Taking seats holds them; nothing is paid until every seat is taken and the operator has confirmed the flight.
  • Once the jet is full, each traveller gets a payment request for their seats. Seats not paid within 12 hours may be offered to others.
  • If the operator cancels or changes the empty leg, every payment for it is refunded in full.
  • Every traveller gives a real name and phone number and shows valid ID before boarding; the operator may refuse boarding without it.

Frequently asked questions

How does sharing a private jet work?
Pick an empty leg, take the seats you need and share the page. Others take the remaining seats. When every seat is taken, JetsFly books the aircraft with the operator and each person pays only their seats.
Do I pay anything before the jet is full?
No. Taking seats holds them with your name, e-mail and phone. Payment is arranged only once every seat is taken and the operator has confirmed the flight.
What happens if the seats do not fill?
Seats close 24 hours before departure. If the jet is not full by then, the shared flight simply ends, every hold is released and nobody pays. You can still book the whole aircraft if you want to fly anyway.
How late can I start or join a shared flight?
A shared flight can be started until 78 hours before departure, and seats can be taken until 24 hours before departure. After that the operator needs the final passenger list.
How is the seat price worked out?
The empty leg's price for the whole aircraft divided by its seats, rounded up to the nearest 10. Only empty legs with a published price can be shared, so the seat price is fixed from the start.
Who will I fly with?
The people you share the link with, and anyone else who takes a seat on the flight's page. Everyone gives their name and phone, and the operator checks every passenger's ID before the flight, like on any private charter.
