How much does it cost to charter an airliner?
As an indication, regional aircraft such as the ATR 72 or Embraer E190 start from roughly $5,500-9,000 per flight hour, narrow-bodies such as the Airbus A320 or Boeing 737-800 from about $12,000-15,000, and wide-bodies such as the A330 or 777 from $24,000-35,000. The quote depends on the route, dates, positioning, crew duty time and airport charges.
How many passengers can an airliner charter carry?
From around 70 on an ATR 72 to about 180-189 on an A320 or 737-800 and nearly 400 on a Boeing 777-300ER, depending on the cabin layout. Business-class or VIP cabins carry fewer.
How far ahead should a group charter be booked?
Four to eight weeks is comfortable for most trips, longer for peak dates and wide-bodies. Short-notice flights are often possible when an aircraft and crew are free.
