Super Midsize Jetsfor Sale
New and pre-owned prices, the models to shortlist and what to check before you buy.
Super midsize jets cross the United States non-stop and reach most of Europe from the Gulf, with a flat-floor cabin for eight to twelve passengers. Many owners see them as the best balance of cabin, range and running cost, which is why the Challenger 350 and 3500 line has sold in large numbers.
The newest models, the Citation Longitude, Praetor 600 and Challenger 3500, fly 6,000 to 7,500 km. The Gulfstream G280 and the Falcon 2000 family add wide cabins and strong airfield performance.

Before you buy
What to check on super midsize jets
Model year and upgrades
Challenger 350s built after certain years have newer avionics and cabin systems, and the 3500 adds a redesigned cabin. Confirm exactly which upgrades each serial number has; they change value by millions.
Engines and APU on program
Honeywell HTF7000 and PW300 engines are usually on programs. Check that the engines and APU are enrolled and that the coverage transfers to you.
Connectivity
Buyers now expect fast satellite Wi-Fi in this size. A Ka-band system costs several hundred thousand dollars to install, so a jet without one should be priced lower.
Charter history
Many super midsize jets fly charter. Higher hours are fine when maintenance records are complete, but check the interior wear and the landing count, not just the hours.
This is one of the most liquid segments of the market, with many pre-owned Challenger 350s and G280s to choose from. Older large-cabin types such as the Challenger 604 and 605 give heavy-jet cabin width at super midsize prices, with the higher fuel burn and maintenance of an older design.
